Make sure you have the following documents8 available when you go to the branch to open a deposit account.

 

To open a personal deposit account at FirstBank you must present the Social security number and the following applicable identifications:

United States Citizens 

(One (1) of the following):

  • Driver’s license from Puerto Rico, American Virgin Islands (USVI), United States

  • Real ID issued by the Government of Puerto Rico (DTOP)

  • State ID issued by the Departament of Motor Vehicles of the United States

  • Passport or Passport card issued by the Government of the United States

  • Military ID issued by the Government of the United States 

  • Puerto Rico Police Gun Permit

In case that the valid ID with photo does not have the physical address, such as Passport, you must provide a service bill to validate the physical address, example: water, electric power, phone, cable TV service, CRIM, rental agreement, among others.

Foreign Citizens Puerto Rico Resident

(One (1) of the following):

  • Driver’s license from Puerto Rico, United States, Virgin Islands (USVI + BVI

  • Passport issued by the country of origin + Visa

  • United States Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)

Additional Document (one of the following):

  • Service bill to validate the physical address, example: water, electric power, phone, cable TV service, CRIM, among others.

  • Employment letter

  • Rental agreement

  • Bank reference (last two months)

FirstBank Platinum is an exclusive private banking service where a team of professionals will take care of all your banking needs. It is a service for the most demanding.

 

There is no account monthly service fee  if the average balance during the cycle is $250,000 or more. Otherwise, a $15.00 monthly service fee will apply. The balance of your Certificate of Deposit (CD) and Individual Retirement Account (IRA) with FirstBank will be added to the balance of both sections of the account to determine if the monthly service fee applies.

 

Yes, you can register with one of our debit cards. With ATH Móvil4 you can make payments to more than 4,000 merchants and payments from person to person.
