Make sure you have the following documents readily available.

 

To open a personal deposit account at FirstBank you must present the Social security number and the following applicable identifications:

To open an individual deposit account at FirstBank (USVI/BVI), you must present your Social Security number and the following required documents:  

United States Citizens (please provide one (1) of the following):   

  • Driver’s license from U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico or United States

  • Passport or Passport Card issued by the Government of the United States  

  • Military ID issued by the Government of the United States 

  • Real ID issued by the Government of the Virgin Islands  

  • Weapon Permit  

  • Birth certificate (under 16 years old)  

All IDs must be unexpired.  In the case that the ID with photo does not have the physical address, a service bill must be provided to validate the physical address for example: utility bill, phone bill, cable bill.   

British Virgin Islands & Non-US Citizens (please provide (one) 1 of the following) :

  • BVI passport  

  • Passport issued by the country of origin + VISA  

  • United States Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)  

All IDs must be unexpired.  Additional documents may be requested:  

  • Service bill to validate physical address for example: utility bill, phone bill, cable bill. 

  • Employment letter (valid work permit)  

  • Lease Agreement  

  • Bank reference letter (last 2 months)
