What individuals qualify?
A low- and moderate-income (LMI) individual is an individual or family whose income is less than 80 percent of the applicable Area Median Income (AMI), as determined by the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). For the purposes of the Program, low-income individuals have incomes below 50 percent of AMI, while moderate-income individuals have incomes equal to or greater than 50 percent but less than 80 percent of AMI.
What properties qualify1?
Only primary residences are eligible. A property located in a low- and moderate-income (LMI) census tract within FirstBank Florida's assessment area (Fort Lauderdale–Pompano Beach–Sunrise and Miami–Miami Beach–Kendall, Florida).
An LMI census tract is a geographic area classified based on the tract's median family income relative to the Area Median Income (AMI) of the applicable Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) or nonmetropolitan area.
A low-income census tract has a median family income of less than 50 percent of AMI, while a moderate-income census tract has a median family income of at least 50 percent but less than 80 percent of AMI.
